Meet Author

Ken Korber

Ken Korber is a clinician-turned-author of the published children’s book series, “Musical Adventures of Grace”; along with spin-off stories showcasing Grace and her Friends. He is an Assistant Professor and health educator with expertise in patient communication and education. Korber uses his children’s books as resources for parents and patient education tools for other clinicians.

He has published research that demonstrates the effective use of children’s books as engagement tools in the health care delivery system. And his published literary work has garnered many enthusiastic Influencer testimonials, has resulted in positive book reviews, and the series has been endorsed by Jack Canfield, the author of the popular Chicken Soup for the Soul. 

Korber has been invited for interviews within several media outlets and digital platforms, and his print books are also available in audiobook & eBook formats.

The Musical Adventures of Grace – Winter story book is the “Grace” character’s origin story. A grace note on a music page is transformed into a little girl through the magic of a holiday concert. In the follow-up seasonal adventures, Grace meets new friends, and they all experience the magic of playing, creating, and listening to music as they embark on fun-filled adventures together. Through these adventures, the emerging reader audience learns lessons about friendship, teamwork, kindness, love for all,and personal empowerment, as they proceed on the journey of learning to read. 

The Spin-off stories of Grace and her Friends provide additional fun-filled adventures that feed a child’s imagination and provide interactive experiences for the youngest member of the family.

FAQ’s

I always wanted to spend more office & clinic appointment time with my patients and families, but, I was often restricted to 10-15 minutes on the daily schedule.

What better way to help kids understand how to be healthy than by giving the adults some tools that can be used as part of a normal bedtime reading session.

My son (who is a musician) taught me about grace notes on a music page and that became the kernel for an idea about using children’s book characters to engage young children just learning how to read.

Do you remember Dora the Explorer or Einstein Babies… Well, these new characters introduce new stories told by new characters that encourage reading and help children learn about wellness and the magic of musical stories. And you can read them in different languages!
